Art of Looking” -p6 “Reflection”.

Reflection on yourself can be done by looking in a mirror,
like the cow did while drinking water in a puddle and wondering; “how did that cow become upside down?”.
Sometimes it’s not straight away clear what I am looking at, reflecting on behavior or judgments can be even harder. It can be distorted simply by changing left into right and vice versa, is it not me or do I recognize myself in it? It looks true, to a large degree it is, as long as my hair is good…

For it when the canals in town show me another picture of the houses and boats, by the movement of the water it can show nice distortions of reality, sometimes beyond recognition, every second another image of reality and never the same twice.
Just like the rapid changes on the news channels on my TV, not clear what’s going on, the hows and whys. Using two mirrors for seeing yourself in the mirror gives a picture of how you “really” look in taking a selfie, but it does not tell how I come across to someone else.
Being happy with the looks or disappointment, do I see what “others” see?

The river “Vecht”, is near the town of Muiden – the Netherlands.

Will that influence my opinion or confidence in myself, the need to get confirmation of who or what I think about myself, not to be perfect, or close to, can make me insecure, and detached reactions on my part.

“What do you see?” you can state but the reflections provoke different reactions, looking and comprehending are not the same, it is previous experiences that shape the answer.
There is no right or wrong in the reflection, it just -is.
We have to deal with our world and behavior reflects that, which, like the water changes over time as the seasons of nature do.

Writing memoirs makes it easy to re-live past reflections and actions, stick to it, or accept
the never-ending changes over time.
Pantha Rei, “Everything flows”, the water under the bridge taking my reflection with it, let’s go along and see more of the world or me, nonmoving water is gonna stink and dies.

Every morning comb my hair, thinking; “That’s looking better” and feeling ready for another day to come.
