The Monster of Little Tabbet

The Monster of Little Tabbet!

Scary Bedtime story…
Characters: Little Tabbet, Elly his wife, and Jur, Inn-Keeper / friend.

At the time, people on the island of “New Shock-land” were habituated by particulate characters,
For instance such as the Little Tabbet, a well-known fisherman and a severe tinkerer.
You always find him busy working on his inflatable monster.
Such as; lapping plastic, molding glue, folding, and painting., he rapidly made progress.

“How’s your monster “Tab?” was a question he was often asked.
Until the day came he finally could fill the monstrosity with air, by using three bicycle pumps.
Creaking and plopping sounds as the colossus slowly rises.
Its flat head became lifted, growing thicker, even thicker, then the eyes plopped out, and pointed teeth became visible.
The thing was about the size of a Tower!

From that day on you could find Little Tabbet out on the water together with his monster,
all the time. He emerges out of the fog, and moments later you notice a dangerous-looking silhouette on the horizon.
Little Tabbet always did have a great (funny)desire to frighten off people.

Pumping around with his plastic monstrosity, finally came the moment his wife Elly said:
“Enough is an Egg”, and let’s call it a day! Together they pulled it up on the bank of the little lake, Little Tabbet drained the air, it had become just a piece of shrivel, neatly folded and placed his monster in the shed.

Tabby couldn’t wait before he was allowed again by Elly, to go about with the Monster-Tours.
Hoping for a scared audience to appear at the banks of the lake.
Sometimes from a school trip out of an area close by, and made a detour, just to see the monster and hear all the stories. That was a The Real Horror for all those very little ones.

“Look, there’s a dragon swimming!” voices shouted, and all of the inhabitants from the Little Tabbet village participated. They acted as if they were so very scared, standing in front of the next group of visiting youngsters, this all made Little Tabbet more than happy.

On such day he would, extra, maneuver his air monster from here to there,
in the twilight hours so that he barely visual.
The villagers had gotten used to it, most of the children too, by the way…
Oh,’ It’s just the Little Tabbet with his inflatable monster.

Until one September evening, Jur, the Inn-Keeper asked “Tab’s wife must be sick?”
Because he is still sailing with his monster?
We’re going to have such bad weather, no, there could be danger in for Little Tabbert.
“I’ll go out and have a look,” Jur said bravely.
Moments later he arrived at the house of the fisherman but was very surprised to see Little Tabbert
and Elly sitting together at the table in their kitchen.

“Are you just abandoning your monster? Jur asked, what have you again tinkered with?
Steam came steam out from his nose.! He told them, all hyped-up, what he just had seen.
Little Tabbet surprised over this message, directly got up and said:
“Jur come, follow me!” said Little Tabbert firm and went outside and left.

Soon they arrived at the shed, where the Little Tabbet stored his inflatable monster.

To everyone’s surprise; It was neatly folded lying on the floor, in the corner.
Immediate they all went looking out, together, for anything, because the Monster
was inside the shed, so how to know what to search?

Outside Jur and Elly turn pale around the nose, out of fear, and while looking at the lake, suddenly a noise becomes louder, from the mist they see a Monster in a rush of steam
and flames rapidly approaching.

Afterward nobody knew where Little Tabbet had gone too, completely dissipated,
the shed was empty found back, after that frighting night
Elly married Jur after one year…
